Thursday October 9, 2014, 7:30 AM LASD - Malibu/Lost Hills Station, Los Angeles County Sheriff Community: Upcoming Training Highlights Multiple Agency Skills for Vehicle Over the Side #Rescues #LASD Hi Nixle User, Joint Training Highlights Multiple Agency Skills for Vehicle Over the Side Rescues This Sunday, October 12, 2014, LASD Malibu Search and Rescue, LACoFire ground and helicopter personnel, and LACoFire lifeguards will participate in the first of four joint drills of the year for vehicle over the side rescues. These are annual interagency trainings that we participate in to insure the best coordinated patient care, packaging and evacuation in the event of vehicle over the side rescues, injured and stranded hikers and other types of rescues where multiple agencies are necessary. Kanan Road between Tunnels 1 & 2 in Malibu around 9:30-noon and 2-4 p.m. on Sunday. Please park at the Newton Canyon trailhead and walk north to the training location.
