Sunday September 6, 2020, 9:17 AM City of Malibu Emergency Services Advisory: All trails in Santa Monica Mtns, Malibu closed thru Mon, 9/7, 5PM due to excessive heat Dear Pepperdine Libboard, California State Parks announced Saturday that all trails in the Santa Monica Mountains area, including Malibu, were ordered closed Saturday for the remainder of the Labor Day weekend through 5:00 PM Monday due to excessive heat.
