| Community: Drink and Drive, go to jail! Impaired Driving Task Force this weekend in Antelope Valley! Hi Pepperdine Libboard, California Highway Patrol officers throughout the Antelope Valley will be deployed to focus on those driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Many people this weekend will enjoy the Antelope Valley Fair along with outdoor barbeques, picnics and social gatherings. The California Highway Patrol encourages you to enjoy the festivities, but always designate a sober driver, adhere to the posted speed limit and always buckle up.
Alcohol and/or drugs reduces the ability of a driver to react to changing traffic conditions. Bicyclists, pedestrians, roadway hazards such as disabled vehicles, are all a part of our every day driving. A driver's attention is divided and when alcohol is introduced, the results can be fatal!
The mission of the California Highway Patrol is to provide the highest level of Safety, Service, and Security to the people of California. We hope you enjoy the Antelope Valley Fair and please celebrate responsibly. Contact Information:
