Tips to Secure Your Home

Exterior
* Install and monitor recording security cameras (preferably wired) around the entire house
* Keep all windows and doors locked
* Secure ladders or chairs away from balconies and windows
* Lock entry and side gates
* Keep valuables out of plain view
* Reinforce glass panels or doors to prevent shattering
* Always lock your vehicles and do not leave the garage door remote, valuables, and keys inside
* Keep the garage door closed when not in use

Interior
* Always activate and monitor your alarm system
* Utilize window break and motion sensors
* Monitor recording security cameras inside your home
* Store weapons and valuables in a securely fastened safe or hidden location
* Use timers for lights when away from home
* Give the appearance you are home by turning on television or radio

Other
* Avoid social media posts displaying luxury items
* Avoid social media posts when you are on vacation
* Request patrol checks when away from your home for extended periods of time
* Always report suspicious activity to local law enforcement
