Advisory: #LASD Homicide Bureau Investigated Suspicious Child Death #Palmdale

Dear Pepperdine Libboard,

On December 3, 2024, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide investigators were assigned a suspicious death investigation involving the death of a 4-year-old male from the Palmdale Station area.

During the last month and a half, investigators continued their investigation into this case. On January 21, 2025, Homicide Investigators arrested the biological father (Andrew Havrella MW/36) and his female companion (Lacie Fetters FW/25) for child assault resulting in death, and child abuse.

The case was presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office today for their consideration of filing charges. For any media inquiries please contact Media Relations at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for further information.
