Friday July 22, 2016, 8:07 AM LASD - Los Angeles County Sheriffs Dept Information Bureau (SIB) Advisory: Update #LASD Homicide Shooting Death Investigation, 100 blk of S Willow Av, Compton Dear Pepperdine Libboard, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the shooting death of a man on the 100 block of South Willow Avenue, in the City of Compton. The shooting occurred on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at approximately 6:30 p.m. The victim, a male Hispanic 42 years old, was struck by gunfire in the rear of the location. He was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no suspect information at this time. Detectives believe the incident is gang related.
