| Community: Good Luck to the Malibu/Lost Hills Baker to Vegas Team Running in This Year's Challenge Cup Relay #LASD Dear Nixle User, Please join us in wishing the Malibu/Lost Hills Station Baker to Vegas (B2V) team and support staff a safe and successful trip as they participate in this year’s Baker to Vegas Challenge Cup Relay. The Baker to Vegas relay covers a distance of 120 miles, beginning near the California city of Baker and ending in Las Vegas, NV. This route is divided into 20 stages, and will involve over 8,000 runners, guests, family members, and support staff from law enforcement agencies around the world. The race will begin this Saturday morning (03/28/15), where the runners will compete over varying topography and elevations as well as dramatic desert climate changes, and conclude early Sunday morning in Las Vegas. The overall Champions will be awarded The Challenge Cup perpetual trophy. In addition, teams finishing in the top 50% of their category will be awarded a much coveted commemorative mug! Good luck to all the teams and agencies competing in this year's race.
