Advisory: The Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station is accepting applications for the Explorer Program.

Dear Pepperdine Libboard,

The Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station is accepting applications for the Explorer Program.

The Deputy Explorer Program is an amazing experience for those between 14 – 20 years old. Its purpose is to provide training and experiences that assist young adults in becoming more responsible, compassionate, independent, and self-confident, while serving as a volunteer in their communities. This program allows you to develop lifetime friendships with those at the academy and those within your station. It is great for colleges and resumes, even if you are not interested in a career in law enforcement.

Advisory: One westbound lane of PCH is closed at Rambla Pacifico in Malibu for Fire Dept activity

Dear Pepperdine Libboard,

One westbound lane of PCH is closed at Rambla Pacifico in Malibu due to LA County Fire Dept activity on an overnight (4:12 AM) commercial structure fire. The fire has been extinguished. Proceed with caution, watch for Fire Dept vehicles & personnel. Fire Dept continues overhaul work.

There will be intermittent lane closures on PCH at Corral Canyon Rd for Southern California Edison to relocate overhead power lines Thursday, Feb. 2, 10:00 PM to Friday, Feb. 3, 4:00 AM. CHP will provide traffic control. Nearby residents and businesses may experience noise, vibrations and dust.
